Our story
Logan Equine is a family business based in the South Island of New Zealand. Husband and wife, Ant and Michelle Logan run their equine business in conjunction with their farming business.
Breeding quality horses is very important whether Warmbloods or Stationbreds, our horses are good at what they are bred to do.
Temperament is critical, we love a genuine horse that is keen to learn.
Our horses run in two herds; our breeding herd with our stallion, broodmares and foals, and our other herd made up of a mix of youngsters, mares and geldings, they all have to get along with other (and they do!).
Our team
Anthony Logan
Ant handles the youngsters and breaks in and trains the older horses. He is our farrier too which is really good with the numbers of horses here. Ant also musters on horseback and enjoys hunting and trekking.
Michelle Logan
Michelle loves the breeding side and the young foals. She is a veterinarian and a Specialist in Equine Medicine. She writes regularly for the NZ Horse and Pony Magazine and runs online horse courses.
